Data mining, AI, and smart process design
Background
When we took over the IVC contract, the client had minimal visibility of statutory compliance across their 1,200-site estate. Inspection records were held in fragmented formats with no central asset register. The client could not confirm if key systems were legally compliant, creating significant reputational and operational risk.
Data-led, AI-assisted approach
To solve this, we used a data-led, AI-assisted approach. Our Head of Data and AI led a project to scrape and extract information from over 13,000 historic certificates and service records. Using custom-built scripts, we extracted dates, frequencies, asset references and outcomes to build an evidence-based view of what had and hadn’t been delivered.
A clear path. No faff.
This analysis allowed us to construct a 52- week compliance planner, prioritised by risk, site criticality and legal obligations. Missing PPMs were flagged, and a logic engine was used to identify likely asset counts based on historic inspection activity. We deployed mobile teams to fill known data gaps and tag new assets, dynamically updating the schedule in Facilio.
