Clear, compliant energy performance ratings for public buildings based on real energy use.
What this service is
Certificates specific to your building

Ratings, compliance & clear improvement actions
Why it matters
DECs are a legal requirement for public buildings over two hundred and fifty square metres. They help organisations understand how efficiently their buildings run, highlight opportunities to reduce energy use, and keep them compliant with UK regulations.
What we do
- Confirm whether your building meets the DEC requirements
- Collect energy consumption data for electricity, heating and cooling
- Produce an operational rating (A to G) based on actual energy use
- Prepare your Display Energy Certificate
- Produce the required Advisory Report with practical improvement actions
How it works
- We review your building details to confirm DEC requirements
- We gather twelve months of energy consumption data
- We produce the DEC and Advisory Report
- You receive both documents ready for display and submission
Legal requirements
DECs apply to buildings occupied by public authorities with a floor area over two hundred and fifty square metres. Certificates must be displayed where the public can easily see them and must be supported by a valid Advisory Report.
Renewal timelines:
- Buildings over one thousand square metres: DEC renewed every year, Advisory Report every seven years
- Buildings between two hundred and fifty and one thousand square metres: DEC renewed every ten years
